Our Staff
Jacob Bradford, Manager & Co-Owner
Easley, SC native Jacob Bradford, is a great example of how South Carolina's public school music programs can take students far! His own string education journey began in Pickens County Schools. He is a proud alumnus of Easley High School's Orchestra program and was a member of the Carolina Youth Symphony. An active professional musician on both double bass and electric bass today, he performs regularly with regional orchestras, ensembles and churches throughout the Upstate. In addition to his performance work, Jacob maintains a thriving private teaching studio for double bass and electric bass students.
Jacob has gained recognition as one of the top string instrument and bow repair specialists in the area. He apprenticed with professional luthier, Brian Gencarelli at Gencarelli Bass Works and studied lutherie under professionals David Gage and Arnold Schnitzer. In June 2018, Jacob was chosen as one of 25 luthiers from an international pool to participate in the Violin Society of America's Bass Maker's Workshop at Oberlin College. In 2017, he served as an intern at the International Society of Bassists Convention in Ithaca, NY. Jacob has also studied with luthier Paul C. Becker, owner of Carl Becker & Son and Paul Becker Violins in Chicago. In 2025, Jacob was named the only luthier in South Carolina to be approved by the Becker Family Foundation to service Becker instruments.
In 2025, Jacob and luthier Brian Gencarelli submitted a William Tarr model double bass to the 2025 Makers Competition at the International Society of Double Bassists Conference at Florida State University.
Jacob and his wife, Brianna, live in Taylors, SC with their growing family.
Dana Orchoff Gencarelli, CEO & Co-Owner
Dana Orchoff Gencarelli has made the performing arts her life’s work!
A native of Spartanburg, SC, Dana is a proud Spartanburg High School alumna who received a BA in Arts Administration from the Shuford School of Performing Arts at Catawba College in Salisbury, NC in 1993. Her early work in the performing arts was in professional theatre and included stage management and administration in theaters throughout Florida and North Carolina. She is a former member of the Actor’s Equity Association for her work in stage management.
In 1994, she was named Director of Operations for the Spartanburg Philharmonic Orchestra in her hometown of Spartanburg, SC. From 2002-2007, she served as Executive Director of the Philharmonic’s production organization, the Music Foundation of Spartanburg.
From 2007 until her recent retirement from the nonprofit arts sector in July 2025, she served as Executive Director of the Greater Anderson Musical Arts Consortium (GAMAC) in Anderson, SC.
A vocal advocate for public funding of the arts and arts education, Dana serves as president of the SC Arts Alliance, a coalition of arts professionals on a mission to build a stronger South Carolina by advocating for the creative sector, empowering artistic communities, and promoting the power of the arts for all its citizens.
Dana and her husband Brian Gencarelli live in Simpsonville with their Beagle, Canine Pop Superstar Taylor “Tay-Tay” Swoof.
